WHAT IS: Jr. High Castaway
This is an extremely exciting, high fun, spiritually impacting retreat
for jr. high youth and the leaders that come along. This is our 8th
year hosting this jr. high retreat and this retreat is sure to be a
hit! This year's theme is 'WILD.' On the retreat we will be using live
music, drama, multi-media presentations, relevant speakers and more.
Our hope is that each young person is encouraged to grow more deeply in
their faith with Christ.
Last fall Risen Savior brought about 60 youth in junior high as well as 21 senior high Servant Leader Team / Work Crew and seven adult leaders. There were nearly 300 total people at camp for the weekend.
About the Weekend:
Come and join hundreds of youth from around
the Twins Cities area as we get together for an incredible time at the
Castaway Club! You'll experience a care free weekend away with friends
where you'll have some great chow and you won't even have to make your
bed. At Castaway you'll have an incredible time at this premium
facility with live music all weekend long, a cool game room, giant hot
tubs, climbing walls, a gym and giant playing fields. You'll laugh and
goof off with friends, participate in outrageous stunts, cool team
games and learn some good stuff about running after the goodness of God.

Meals:
Meals include a snack on Friday night, Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night snack, and Sunday brunch.
Housing:
Participants will be staying in dorm style housing and cabins. Linens
and pillows are provided as well as shower towels and a wash cloth. (Do
not bring a sleeping bag).
Conduct:
Participants are expected to treat the camp and others with respect.
All conduct problems will be taken up with group leaders and
participants. Parents will be contacted day or night to pick them up.
Illegal drugs or alcohol are never permitted.
About the Facility:
The Castaway Club is located on a peninsula between Big Pelican and
Little Pelican lakes near Detroit Lakes. Camp is approximately 200
miles northwest of the Twin Cities. Castaway is by far our choice as
the best youth camp facility in the State of Minnesota. Their deluxe
accommodations, great food, and housing make it an incredible place for
young people to come together.

Retreat Cost:
$130 This includes camp fees, meals listed above, housing, and
transportation. Please bring a bag lunch to eat on the way up to camp
